CREATIVE GENIUS: MARILYN MONROE

Original Painting
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Original Size: 24" × 36" (61 × 91.4 cm)

Creative Genius: Marilyn Monroe explores the relationship between image, identity, fame, and the person who exists behind an icon. Marilyn became one of the most recognizable faces in popular culture, yet the public image surrounding her often became larger than the individual herself. Through expressive color and abstraction, I wanted to reinterpret that familiar image rather than simply reproduce it. The portrait considers the strange transformation that happens when a human being becomes a symbol—recognized by millions of people who never actually knew them. Within the Creative Genius series, Marilyn represents the power of presence, individuality, performance, and the ability of a single image to become embedded in cultural memory.

My work is born from the intersection of nature, science, history, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, and sacred geometry. I am fascinated by the patterns, symbols, and invisible connections that exist between living beings. Through abstraction and symbolism, I seek to create paintings that invite the viewer to pause, question what they observe, and discover their own interpretations.
