EL MOMO NEY

Original Painting
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Original Size: 30" × 48" (76.2 × 121.9 cm)

El Momo Ney is the God of Wealth within ELALES. His name plays with “mo’ money,” while his coin-shaped head, yellow and gold palette, hidden hand, and numerical symbolism connect him to money, abundance, value, and the complicated human relationship with wealth. The number 7 appears throughout the character's symbolism, while his position as 7-1 also connects numerically to 8—a number often associated with abundance and material power. But El Momo Ney is not simply a celebration of money. He represents both sides of wealth: abundance and possibility, but also greed and the danger of allowing material value to dominate everything else.

My work is born from the intersection of nature, science, history, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, and sacred geometry. I am fascinated by the patterns, symbols, and invisible connections that exist between living beings. Through abstraction and symbolism, I seek to create paintings that invite the viewer to pause, question what they observe, and discover their own interpretations.
